Born in the Midwest, but raised in Central Florida - I’m based in Atlanta, but most likely in the window seat of an airplane right now.
She has been written about/featured by Harper's Bazaar, Slate Magazine, The New York Times, the Atlantic, the Washington Post, MSN, the Boston Globe, and several international publications. Kyla has been a guest on the Tamron Hall Show, the Karen Hunter Show, and the Spearsberg Podcast hosted by comedian Aries Spears. She has performed a one-woman show of poetry, comedy, and at over 300 colleges in over 40 states, as well as hosted multiple writing workshops.
